The Macon It Safe campaign recognizes our local businesses, attractions, non-profits, industries, and workplaces that are steadfastly adhering to local, state, and federal COVID-19 safety guidelines. By signing the Macon It Safe Pledge, businesses are showing they are committed to creating a safe environment that prioritizes the health of everyone patronizing and working in their facility.

These businesses are the backbone of our local economy and they need our support now more than ever. Every Maconite has a role to play in stopping the spread of COVID-19 and getting our economy back on track. Citizens can sign the Patron Pledge to show their commitment to wearing a mask, observing social distancing, washing their hands, and supporting local.

    • Yes! The Macon It Safe Pledge is an opportunity for any workplace to show their commitment to adhering to COVID-19 safety guidelines. Workplaces can be small or large businesses, non-profit organizations, professional offices, healthcare facilities, event venues, tourist attractions, industrial complexes, educational institutions, hotels, or coworking spaces. If people work in your facility, you can add the name of your organization to the pledge.

  • What is required of me if I sign the Macon It Safe Pledge?

    • By signing the Macon It Safe Pledge, you are showing your public commitment to following the bulleted list of items in the pledge. Most businesses are already following all safety guidelines and enforcing local mandates. This pledge helps recognize the businesses and workplaces that are following safety guidelines and gives Pledge Partners a way to promote their efforts.

  • How will my customers know I have signed the Macon It Safe pledge?

    • After signing the Macon It Safe Pledge, you will be emailed a downloadable toolkit with signs you can post in your facility to show your commitment to Macon It Safe. All businesses who sign the pledge will be listed on the Pledge Participant page of this website.

    • All Maconites can, and are encouraged to, sign the Patron Pledge. This pledge is crafted specifically for everyday citizens to show their commitment to stopping the spread of COVID-19 and supporting our local economy.

    • The best way to spread the word is social media. After you sign the Patron Pledge, share a post with the link to the pledge and use #MaconItSafe and #ProtectMiddleGeorgia to encourage your friends and followers to do the same.
